Payment and fees
One Orthopaedics welcomes patients with private medical insurance, as well as those who are funding their own treatment (self-pay).
Our consultants are recognised by all major insurance companies, and are fee assured; the full cost of your treatment will be covered.
We will always be up front about the costs of any treatment, or at the very least provide a close estimate. If at any time any patient is uncertain or would like more details, we would ask that you contact us.
The following fees are for self-paying patients only
Initial consultation £200-£260
Follow-up consultation £150-£160
During your initial consultation, we may recommend further diagnostic tests or scans. These tests are billed by the hospital or clinic that you attend for the test or scan, and not directly by the consultant. To check prices before you have your scan or test, please call the hospital directly. Injections
To following fees include the cost of the consultation, supply and administration of the injection
Consultation and steroid injection £400
Consultation and trigger point injection (Botox) £550-£600
Platelet-rich plasma injections (single) £500
Platelet-rich plasma injections (bi-lateral) £900
Inpatient procedures
If you are funding your own treatment and we recommend a procedure that requires hospital admission, we will liaise with the private hospital concerned to ensure that you are sent an all-inclusive written quote, before you decide whether or not to proceed. The quote will incorporate and additional consultant fees (after your initial consultation), anaesthetist fees, as well as the full cost of your inpatient care, rehabilitation and any follow-up appointments.
